At Windsor we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously. We committed ourselves to a programme for change that saw us certified to ISO 14001 in 2010 and has been continuing ever since. We also achieved certification relating to ‘Chain of Custody’ meaning on accredited stocks, we can trace the paper back to its source. So our customers can now demonstrate to key stakeholders and customers alike that they are adhering to an environmental principle supporting responsible forestry.
We use vegetable-based inks for all our litho print production, and by introducing process-less platemaking we have considerably reduced our water usage and eliminated all chemistry waste from this process.
Recycling is of an exceptionally high order, complementing a resource efficiency programme to reduce waste, using our technological know-how to cut unnecessary waste out of workflows. We also offer a collection service for customers wishing to recycle redundant printed literature, in addition to offering digital print services to allow short print runs to high quality.
As part of our commitment to energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction, we have been replacing our lighting. We are especially proud of the design and digital studios and our boardroom, where we have introduced suspended ceilings with OLED lights – it’s not only an environmental improvement, we think it looks really good, too.
Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility is demonstrated in our approach to the environment, our business partners, the community and our staff.
